摘要

The structure of carbonyl iron is studied by methods of light, scanning electron, and transmission microscopy. Multifractal analysis of the images shows the determining role of the process of fragmentation in dissipation of mechanical energy under conditions of hot compressive deformation. Problems of improvement of pressure treatment of metals are often solved with the use of the criterion of efficiency of dissipation of mechanical energy (EDME) n, which is determined from the relation [1,2] eta = 2k/(k+l), (1); where k = DELTA ln sigma/DELTA ln epsilon is the parameter of strain rate sensitivity, a is the deforming stress, and epsilion is the rate of plastic strain.
