A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Arsikere, Karnataka during kharif season of 1998 and 1999 to study the effect of different organic manures and fertilizer levels on growth, yield and quality of sesamum. Application oforganic manure in the form of neemcake has recorded significantly higher seed yield (557.50 kg ha~(-1)) over the control and was on par with the organic manures viz.. Farm yard manure (512.96 kg ha~(-1)) and composted coir pith (508.13 kg ha~(-1))- Among the fertilizer levels 100 per cent recommended dose of fertilizer had recorded significantly higher seed yield and yield attributes. The interaction effects were found non significant for yield and yield attributes.
