The best, Alfa boss Luca De Meo insists, is yet to come. The present is pretty darn good though. De Meo's is a big call, but when you look around his new Mito, there's truth in what he says. It's not that this Mito isn't Alfa's best work; he's just saying that it's their best work for today. In the meantime, the current 1.4-litre turbo four has 114kW, and the whole shebang weighs only 1145kg - enough for the Mito to hit 100km/h in 8.0sec and max out at 215km/h.
