The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) took place in Seoul, South Korea, in August this year. The ICM is the largest conference in mathematics, held every four years, covering all subject areas. The prestigious Fields Medals are awarded as part of the proceedings, as well as a range of other high-profile prizes.
