摘要

A species-specific primer system BC290501 has been developed for the identification of goat in meat and dairy products. Both primers bind in the 5'-flanking region of the single-copy gene beta-casein. Twelve species were examined, but only goat-DNA leads to amplification of a specific product by means of PCR. Furthermore the primer pair was shown to detect the presence of goat's meat or milk in commercially available, processed and heat treated products.
