The company, which was founded in 1959 and headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, serves both the US market and international mar-kets with fresh pork arid packaged pork products; among the wide assortment of processed pork products are ham, bacon, sausages and luncheon meat. Since 2003, the Farmland brand has belonged to Smithfield Foods, which is the world's largest producer and processor of pork.
