Full of surprises: apple production in the EU

Prognosfruit, the important preview congress for the apple and pear industry, took place in Lublin in Poland from 5 to 7 August 2004. After Bozen, Toulouse, Zoetermeer, Volos, Périgueux, Graz, Sint-Truiden, Trente, Cologne and Maidstone, about 400 participants from thirty countries flocked to the new EU member country to assess the coming 2004/2005 apple and pear season in the European Union. There were a few surprises in store for the delegates.
