Today's consumer is on a constant quest for new taste sensations and is choosing ever more authentic or "origin" products. A standard chocolate is made from a blend of cocoa coming from different origins. In line with the consumer trend for more authentic products, Barry Callebaut has launched an exclusive range of origin chocolates, produced using beans from one origin only, meeting the strictest selection and quality criteria. Origin chocolates are a bit like wine: influenced and determined by thesoil on which the cocoa tree grows, the climate, the weather as well as the year of harvest. Each cocoa is unique.
