SOON, one can quickly find out how members of the House Agriculture Committee voted on roll call votes with the passage of a new rule for Congress. The committee has adopted a plan to post all results of roll call votes on its web site (www.agriculture.house. gov) within two days. Subcommittee assignments and leaders were named during the committee's organizational meeting last week. Chairman Collin Peterson (D., Minn.) and ranking Republican Frank Lucas (R., Okla.) will serve as ex office members of all six subcommittees. (Lucas replaces Rep. Bob Goodlatte of Virginia as the committee's top Republican. Under Republican rules, Goodlatte's three terms in full committee leadership timed out.)
