The postal voting system involves the authorized voter having to post one form, which is closed before despatch, with both voting card part (1) and voting ticket part (2) being automatically processed, without any relation being made between the authorized voter and the vote(s). The various parts of the form have strips (5-9) with release paper and perforations (4), which make it possible for parts of the form to be opened independently. If several votes are shown on one voting ticket, the total number of votes are recorded separately for control purposes. Both the personal details of the voter and their signature together with the counting and checking of votes are very simply automated.
