Letter to the EditorAnger symptoms and 'delinquent' behavior in Tourette syndrome with and without attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

We read with great interest the paper by Rizzo et al. about the effects of Tourette syndrome (TS) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) on cognitive and behavioral phenotypes of youngsters. The Authors used standardised measures to compare four groups of 20 subjects each: TS-only, ADHD-only, TS 4- ADHD, controls. They reported that TS-only subjects were similar to controls with regards to both total behavior ratings and cognitive aspects. Interestingly, one finding differed from previous literature, i.e. TS-only patients, unlike the TS + ADHD group, were rated as more "delinquent" than unaffected controls.
