Indigenous rice germplasm and their cultivation techniques in folklores of Orissa: an ethnobotanical perspective - II.

摘要

Fifteen folklores in Orissa, India, that are related to the characters of 12 indigenous rice cultivars (including duration, yield, pest and disease resistance, waterlogging and flooding tolerance, scent, colour and husk type) are presented. The selection of a germplasm for a particular field condition based on this ancient wisdom is described.
