PetroChina plans CBM project

State-owned PetroChina's subsidiary Huabei Oil Field has agreed to jointly develop a coalbed methane (CBM) project in northern China's Shanxi province with Shanxi Energy Industries Group.The two companies have just signed an agreement in Beijing, according to Shanxi Energy.The project involves a total investment of US 191m, of which 80m will be provided by the World Bank, it said.
