摘要

This paper presents the design process of an electric vehicle based on customer requirements and on the evaluation of CO_2 potential reduction compared to an equivalent vehicle equipped only with a Diesel internal combustion engine. This evaluation is performed on various driving operating conditions. In order to limit the cost of the electric vehicle by reducing the battery size and to extend the range of vehicle operation, a methodology is presented to define the adequate sizing and compromise for the battery and the range extender engine. This methodology takes info account a global objective of CO_2 reduction, by introducing a constraint on CO_2 corresponding to electricity production. Finally, this design phase leads to a final EREV adapted to most of the vehicle requirements and capable to limit CO_2 emissions to ambitious targets.
