The powertrain (1) has an oil pump (11) for providing actuating pressure for an automatic transmission (3), and mechanically drivable over a pump shaft that is driven by an internal combustion engine (2). An electrical pump motor (16) additionally or alternatively drives the oil pump. A pumping clutch (18) i.e. overrunning clutch, is provided between the combustion engine and the oil pump. The electrical pump motor is coupled with a power take-off (12). The pumping clutch is arranged between the combustion engine and a branch of the power take-off coupled with the electrical pump motor. The oil pump is designed as a gear pump or vane pump. The power take-off is designed as a chain of gear wheels such as pinions (13, 15) and intermediate gear (14).
