CMP shift production to new plant in China

As part of a major investment boost, China Mineral Processing (CMP) Tianjin moved production to a 12m dollars. new facility in Xingang port, Tianjin, at the start of the year. It has also injected 4m dollars. into its wholly-owned subsidiary in Jiexue, Shanxi province. The company has made investments in other areas by expanding capacity at the new plant to produce castables (20,000 tpa capacity), and pre-mixes and toll mixing (15,000 tpa) and other products. A completely new range of processed high aluminas and mullites including new innovations "tabular bauxite" and "Aluxite" are expected to be available later this year. These products are additions to a product line which includes the manufacture of Reframul synthetic mullites (Reframul 70 and Reframul 60), produced at CMP's Jie Xue operation.
