FORMULATION AND IN-VITRO EVALUATION OF MICROCAPSULES OF AMINOPHYLLINE

摘要

The objective of the present study was to formulate and evaluate the sustained release colon targeted aminophylline microcapsules using the combination of polymers such as eudragit L100 and S100 by emulsion solvent evaporation method in the ratio of 1:1.5 which was selected through pre-formulation studies. The prepared microcapsules were subjected to various studies like particle size, morphological studies, drug content, % drug release and release kinetics. The particle size was in the range of 571-736 mem and it was spherical and free flowing. The percentage drug release shows sustained release for up to 15h 79.31% for F3 and 73.35% for F4 respectively.
