Significance of bypass fat feeding to dairy animals.

摘要

This paper discusses bypass fat technology, a nutritional technology used to increase the efficiency of protein and energy utilization by allowing ruminal escape of nutrients and overcome the adverse effect of negative energy balance in dairy animals. The beneficial effects of feeding rumen protected fat on nutrient digestibility, growth, milk yield and composition, reproduction and alleviation of heat stress are also discussed.
