In China, the current household consumption of coffee witnesses an annual increase of 40%, while annual retail sale is growing by over 25% and the momentum shows no signs of abating. China's 150 million medium-to-high income group of people, mostly employees in the management and young technicians with college education, are enjoying the comfort, relaxation and way of life brought by coffee. They are the main force in the huge market. Specialized coffee bars meet their need for quality and efficientlifestyle. As a result, branded coffee bars appear in main streets and business areas. It is therefore reasonable when Barboro de Bovoure, the director of Operation Department of the International Coffee Organization, said that China will become the largest consumer in the world.
