Tucked away in the quiet township of Nannup, half way between Margaret River and Pemberton in southern WA, Cambray Sheep Cheese is an award-wiqning farmhouse dairy run by Jane and Bruce Wilde.The Wilde family bought the 116 acre bushland property, about 12 km outside Nannup on the Vasse Highway in south-western WA, in 1994.Bruce Wilde, a retired policeman, was raised on a sheep farm, so the decision to milk sheep came more or less naturally."Bruce really didn't want to milk cows, he was not a cow man," Jane Wilde said. When she suggested sheep, Bruce's response was, "Tm not bloody going to milk sheep.' But he got straight into it," Jane said. One of the couple's five sons, Tom, left schoolafter Year 11 and got involved in the business alongside his parents.
