Through the eyes of an apprentice

Mike Blanton, ABS Membership Chairman and Board Member, was fortunate to have a tree accepted for exhibition at the Taikan-ten show held in Kyoto, Japan, November 21-25,2008. While there, he visited with Bjorn Bjorholm from Knoxville, TN, who is currently a full-time apprentice with Master Keiichi Fujikawa in Ikeda City, Osaka, Japan. Under the guidance of Master Keiichi Fujikawa, Bjorn is currently working to broaden his knowledge and understanding of bonsai with the hopes of one day teaching and sharing his experiences with others around the world.
