Nigeria's refineries have ground to a halt after attacks on crude pipelines and power supply problems. The Escravos pipeline was attacked on 30 September, forcing the 125,000 b/d Warri and 110,000 b/d Kaduna refineries to shut. Repairs could take up to a month. State-owned NNPC is still planning major maintenance at Kaduna from 5 November to mid-January. The 210,000 b/d Port Harcourt refinery has been shut since early October because of power supply problems. NNPC says it has 30 days of fuel in storage to meet domestic demand.
