Sasol Chevron is still interested in expanding the capacity of the Oryx GTL plant and developing another one despite the rising costs,the company's Country Manager for Qatar,Mr.Patrick Butcher,indicated on the occasion of the Megas conference.He added that the estimated cost of expanding the Oryx GTL plant from 34,000 b/d at present to 100,000 b/d by 2009 is far higher now than the initial estimate of 1.5 billion.
