Rolls-Royce Delivers Eight RB211 Gas Turbines to Total for the Development of the Usan and Of on Oil Fields

Rolls-Royce indicates that Total has placed orders worth a total of 150 million with it for projects in Nigeria. The British company is to supply Total with eight type RB211 gas turbines for the development of the offshore Usan and Of on oil fields. Some of these turbines are to be installed on the FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading) vessel at the site of the Usan field and the others on a fixed platform at the Of on field. They will increase to 19 the total number of RB211 turbines the French company has ordered for offshore projects in Nigeria. Rolls-Royce points out that the 19 turbines will be distributed as follows: five at Usan, three at Ofon, six at Akpo and five at Amenam.
