The ongoing depreciation in Turkish lira continued to pull up mills' lira-denominated domestic rebar list prices in Turkey, as mills have been trying to keep their rebar list prices flat on a dollar basis. Domestic demand in Turkey, however, has slowed notably due to these hikes arising from the ongoing the lira's depreciation against the US dollar since March 20, following the dismissal of the Central Bank governor with a presidential decree.
