Poland prepares for life without Gazprom

Poland is stepping up efforts to diversify its gas supply sources, as part of a strategy that could allow it to end imports from Russia. State-controlled PGNiG's plan for 2017-22 will focus on increasing LNG imports and supporting construction of a gas pipeline from Norway to replace natural gas deliveries from Russia. PGNiG says it is not interested in extending its 10.2bn m~3/yr supply deal with Russian state-controlled Gazprom on the current terms when it expires in 2022.
