Eni, NextChem sign agreement to study green chemistry projects

Eni (Rome, Italy) and NextChem, a green chemistry subsidiary of the contracting group Maire Tecnimont, have concluded an agreement to strengthen their partnership. The companies intend to conduct research for a new project to be developed at Taranto, Italy, and to continue with engineering studies for a waste-to-hydrogen production plant at the Eni Porto Marghera biorefinery near Venice. The companies are also studying plans for a waste-to-methanol production project at the Eni refinery at Livorno, Italy.
