Chandra Asri secures tax benefits for $380-million PE project in Indonesia

Chandra Asri says it has been granted a tax holiday for its $380-million polyethylene (PE) plant at the Cilegon, Indonesia, manufacturing complex. The tax beneft includes a 100% reduction of corporate income tax for the frst 10 years after the start of commercial production, followed by a 50% reduction for the following two years. The company has also been granted exemption from withholding tax by third parties for 10 years.
