摘要

At the present time, the international community is driving the debate on global warming, carbon footprints, food miles and their impact on international trade. U.S. companies that export to world markets are looking at what is going on outside theirnation's borders in order to be able to satisfy customer demands. This overview of what is going on worldwide presents several of the issues U.S. companies face when fulfilling the orders of overseas clients. It is the responsibility of those companies importing U.S. food products to let their suppliers know how these issues are currently effecting their buying options and what they foresee as the future of international cooperation.
