Study on the amount of CO{sub}2 emission by campus life - based on field survey of university students

On the base of statistics data, questionnaire survey, and measurement investigation, a trial of estimating the amount of CO{sub}2 emission caused by dally activities of university students was carried out. The results showed that the large proportion of the CO{sub}2 emission incidental to our daily activities was due to the energy consumption, food and cooking, and transportation, and- that CO{sub}2 emission per student who lives in dormitory is smaller than CO{sub}2 emission per student who lives in apartment alone or home with family. Furthermore, the investigation of CO{sub}2 emission caused by students of Science University of Tokyo was carried out, and the methods of reducing CO{sub}2 emission which concern their campus life were examined.
