VR presentation system with spherical screen for urban environment human media

摘要

This paper describes a spherical screen VR experiencing system which is being developed under a national project (MITI, Human Media). The characteristics and the hardware configuration of the developed system, and the distortion correction techniques which allow graphics to be accurately mapped onto to the spherical screen are described. The system aims at simulating construction planning and urban development designs on a perceived real scale.
