森に降り注いだ放射性物質の挙動

摘要

The Great East Japan Earthquake led catastrophe of Fukushima Daiich nuclear power plants. A large amount of radioactivity like Cs-137 was released in air from the damaged reactors. A part of released activity moved and dropped on a forest of Mt. Yagoshi. The radioactive materials of Cs-134 and Cs-137 have been investigated there. A preliminary investigation in Mt. Yagoshi teaches us the importance of activities to protect the forest. Because it seems that the bountiful sea is protected from radioactive contamination and the effect of radiation we receive is lightened by the forest.
