Evaluation of Thermal Shock Resistance of SN Plate Using SN Sliding Device

Sliding nozzle plates (hereinafter "SN plate") are set in the SN slide mechanism and are used as a part of the device". Our company developed the "R series" as the latest model of SN sliding device for steel ladle. Currently, the R series is used in various steelworks and has gained popularity. Since the SN plate for the R series has a round shape where hot band is the only restraint condition, that is, it is used while being loaded with surface pressure in a substantially unrestrained state. This time, the SN plate for R series was developed from materials with different material properties, and thermal shock resistance was evaluated using the SN sliding device.
