摘要

The change of the optical activity of a crystalline slab of paratellurite when the light rays deviate from the optic axis of the crystal by a certain angle is investigated. When the rays are incident on the slab at angle from 0° to 5° the value of the optical activity remains practically unchanged, and then it decreases sharply to zero as the angle is increased further. At angles above 10° one observes ellipticity and oscillations of the angle of rotation of the major axis of the ellipse of the elliptically polarized radiation.
