Azonto Petroleum still expects to take a final investment decision on its shallow water Gazelle platform project off Cote d'Ivoire next quarter with the development still "robust" due to the agreed gas price. Sanction has been delayed by uncertainty about a new power plant to be constructed by CI-Energies that will be the customer for the gas. CI-Energies has now received bids for the supply of power generation units and associated transmission infrastructure and, according to Azonto, expects a final investment decision on this next quarter allowing it to go ahead with its own approval.
