摘要

Functional dependency and association rule are two important concepts in the database system and also difficult points in the course teaching of introduction to database system. Functional dependency is the theoretical basis for normalization of relation mode and reflects a kind ofrestricted relationship between attributes in the relationship. Association rule mining is an important research content in data analysis. The relationship between item sets implied in functional dependency is fully utilized in this Thesis to present a kind of Association Rules Mining AlgorithmBased on Functional Dependency (ARMAFD) to enrich the teaching connotation of functional dependency and provide a new approach for mining of association rule. The application of data dependency in association rule mining is only presented in this Thesis. In fact, association rule and datadependency are correlated. We will further research it.
