Active development of HVA flats capacity in Turkey may result in overcapacity

The recent investments in the active development of flats-coating capacity in Turkey may result inovercapacity by late 2018, several market sources told Metal Expert. Since 2016, two new coated flats producersentered the market with total capacity of 705,000 tpy, while another one plans to fully commissionits operations (400,000 tpy) by the middle of the year. Besides, the existing producers will add 750,000 tpyof coating capacity by year-end.
