Canadian province passes law to ban cosmetic pesticides

The Canadian province of Ontario has passed legislation to ban the sale and use of pesticides for cosmetic or non-essential uses. The legislation was introduced earlier this year to fulfil an election pledge by the incoming Liberal government (Agrow No 542, p 18).
