Pig Education Day a hit with students

Thirty Year 10 and 11 students from five South Australian high schools, plus their six agriculture teachers, attended the 2019 Pig Education Day held at Adelaide University's Roseworthy Campus in October.Sponsored by Pork SA and the University, this was the third year this event has been offered to SA agriculture teachers.The aims of the day are to add value to school students existing pig knowledge and experience, to expose students to aspects of commercial pig production difficult to replicate within a school environment, and to provide students with an understanding of career options within the Australian pork industry.
