Mecademic, Montreal, displayed a six-axis industrialrobot small enough to fit in your hand at last month's ATS East show in N.Y.C. The Meca500 handles payloads up to 500 g (1.1 lb) with what the company calls 'unmatched accuracy" of 0.005 mm. There is no proprietary programming language to learn, only a simple set of instructions, says Mecademic.
