This field trial was conducted on creeping bentgrass at the Center for the Agricultural Sciences and a Sustainable Environment (Penn State Berks Campus, Reading, PA). Rootzone is 100% sand with pH 7.3 and 0.31% organic matter. The site had not been fertilized or received any pesticides or supplemental irrigation prior to the start of this field trial and throughout the duration of this field trial, and was mowed three times per week with a reel mower at 0.500 inch height-of-cut with clippings removed. Individual plot size was 3- x 5-ft and all plots were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Treatments were applied from a CO2-pressurized (40 psi) backpack sprayer, in 1 gal water-carrier per 1000 ft2, from a single 8004E flat-fan nozzle to uniformly cover the entire test plot. Rolling was achieved with a copper-plated metal roller measuring 4-in. diameter x 27-in. length and weighing 340 lbs. Each roller-treated plot was rolled in one back-and-forth direction for twopasses per plot at 1x/week on Monday (R1) or 3x/week on Mon, Wed, and Fri (R3) during each week from 21 May through 13 Aug. Foliar dollar spot infection centers or foci were first observed on 6 Jun. Dollar spot infection centers were visually counted once per week per plot, with these data used to calculate AUDPC, and all data were subjected to analysis of variance with treatment means compared by Fisher's protected least significant difference test at P < 0.05.
