We've known Graham Leigh a long time now and when it came to penning the story of his long-serving Mk1 Golf build it seemed only fitting he took up the challenge. To be fair, given the story, we don't really know where we would begin... As an avid PVW fan from the early days, I'd always wanted to write for the magazine that has brought me so much joy over the years (be careful what you wish for - Ed). In fact, I would go one further than joy and say that during my 23-years Royal Naval service, reading car magazines and tapping into that escapism that printed media can bring has, at times, kept me sane during those long periods away from home.
