(Abstracted from Am J Obstet Gynecol 2018;219:563.e1-563.e19) The Safety Program for Improving Surgical Care and Recovery (ISCR) was developed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in partnership with the American College of Surgeons and the Johns Hopkins Medicine Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality. The goal of this national program was to assist hospitals in improving perioperative care through adoption and implementation of evidence-based enhanced recovery pathways (ERPs).
