Horace Elliott (1851—1938) and his moulds

Horace Elliott (1), a prolific ceramics designer, partial manufacturer and retailer of ceramics in London between 1880 and 1934, is less well known today. Elliott's name does not appear in Godden's Encyclopaedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks, Godden believing that the impressed ELLIOTT and Fleur-de-Lys mark found on some wares was that of J. Elliott & Sons, shippers, based at Bush Lane House, EC' It is unsurprising, therefore, that Elliott's wares are not included with the collections of any of the main London Museums.
