ExxonMobil expects heavy hit to 2Q results

A sharp decline in crude and natural gas prices and weak refn- ing margins may cut into ExxonMobil’s profts by as much as $4bn in the second quarter. The company said in a regulatory fling it will take a hit of as much as $2.5bn compared to the frst quarter because of changes in liquids prices during. The impact from the natural gas market could be an additional $600mn, and downstream refning margins may see a $900mn-$700mn drop, it said.
