摘要

The vibro-acoustic performance of Electrically Powered Steering systems (EPS) is an essential comfort aspect in today's automotive development. This is particularly relevant for electrically driven or hybrid vehicles, in which steering noises are no longer masked by a combustion engine. To incorporate these requirements as early as possible, ZF's structural dynamics and acoustics engineers have implemented a simulation-based method that allows for the early characterization of steering gear acoustics through virtual integration into the target vehicle.
