摘要

In this paper, authors focus on TERI's activities on promoting energy efficient technologies and practices in Rajkot foundry cluster. The 'deep dive' approach adopted in the cluster focused on detailed energy audits to identify techno-economically feasible energy conservation measures among a large number of foundry units followed by subsequent technical assistance to these units during implementation of the identified measures. The activities helped in realising significant energy savings and reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in a relatively short period among foundries in the cluster.
