摘要

Novel pyrazoline derivatives incorporating chalcone backbone have been synthesized, characterized and evaluated for their anti-inflammatory activity. The structural features of synthesized compounds have been established using IR, H-1 NMR, mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis. In vivo anti-inflammatory activity has been measured using carrageenan induced paw edema method. Molecular docking study of synthesized compounds has also been performed using cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-II) receptor PDB ID: 4-COX. Some of the synthesized compound show remarkable anti-inflammatory potential. The compound (E)-1-(5-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4,5-dihydropyrazol-1-yl)-3 (4methoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1 -one 6h shows potent anti-inflammatory activity. The outcome of docking studies also support results of in vivo anti-inflammatory activity.
