Objective: Periodontitis disease is a chronic inflammation, and the prevention or treatment of periodontal disease is important for improving oral health and averting systemic diseases.Acer tegmentosum Maxim (ATM) is a type of deciduous tree in Korea. ATM extracts have been traditionally used to treat various dieases. This study investigated the effects of ATM extract on mitigation of periodontitis in vitro and in vivo.
