Swala hunts Orca for Tanzania gas expansion

Swala Oil & Gas is keeping its promise to expand in East Africa and is negotiating to buy a stake in Orca Exploration and its Songo Songo gas field in Tanzania. The field currently produces around 40 MMcf/d of gas and was the first gas-to-power project in Sub-Saharan Africa. Swala currently operates the Kilosa-Kilombero licence in Tanzania and also has acreage in Burundi covering portions of the northern end of Lake Tanganyika.
